The day after I meet Carolina her Sister and Isabel. These were the people I was going to spend a week with in Boracay :) We went to the beach. I got to know the people I hadn't meet before and it was a nice day. Really warm weather there in comparison to Seoul at that time. The food was also cheap and good. But more westernised restaurants around that island. And everywhere you went it was sand everywhere. You brought sand with you everywhere as well.
In a pub crawl we meet to other swedish guys that we started to hang around with for a while. They were brothers and was there on vaction. We ended up celebrating new years eve with them and some other Swedish people we just meet there.
And this was typical my breakfast everyday over there :) All in all it was nice at Boracay, but we were unlucky with the weather, it didn't rain a lot but it was pretty cloudy. And being there for 1 week is too much, at least for me. It wasn't that much to do besides being on the beach ... and then there where no sun. And a little bit to warm and the hostels and hotels where pretty bad over there. You kinda felt dirty being at some of those places. I will probably not go back to Boracay ever but I have great memories from that place anyways :)
We all left more or less on the same day. I was heading all on my one to Singapore. I was actually looking forward to do some solo travel. The last week was pretty demanding with many opinions and desires that didn't go all well together with each other. So I took the tricyle to the harbor and the boat to the mainland and a buss to the airport where I stood in queue for about 1 and a half hours .... sweating of course. Finally I got on the plane and a couple of hours later I was in Singapore. I arrived in the evening and I was pretty happy not to have sand everywhere and everything was clean and at a high standard. I took out some money and went to the taxi queue. Got to the hotel that much such an upgrade from Boracay. Relaxed, took a shower and then went out to look around and grab some dinner. I had done some research before on what to eat and see in Singapore (did this while in Boracay on a rainy day) Singapore seamed to have much more to offer. And I had been craving Dim Sum for a long while so I looked up the closest restaurant and just went there.
Oh boy was I happy :D
The morning after I took my time to decide a plan on what I was going to eat and do that day. I started the day with some Rotiprata which is an Indian dish that is a popular breakfast meal. After that I went to the metro and got a card and went to the Bothanical Garden and the National Orchid Garden (located at the same place). It was a warm day and the scenori was very beautiful at the gardens. I walked around there for probably 3-4 hours and I was not able to see it all anyways. I was so happy to be able to see and exerperience things again after Boracay.
After that I had still some time so I decided to go to China town. Singapore consists of chines, malaysian and indian people. So then it is just natural that there is a big chines part in the city.

Then it was time to eat something and I found a food place where they served many different dishes. I saw that they had several of the ones that I had on my to eat list. I went with a fried noodle one. And after this I sat down in a bar for a while and had a couple of beers. I had been walking around for almost 6 hours at this point. And I had bought a simcard with internet so I could just relax and play with my phone for a while.

After eating I still had a lot of time left. So I decided to go to Gardens by the bay. Which are suppose to be really cool during night time. I took the Metro and probably got of at the wrong exit because I needed to walk quite much to get there. Anyways this place was extremly amazing. Never seen anything like it before, looks like it is taken from the movie Avatar. I could spend so much time at that place and it was filled with people. You had really good views around that place as well. I was not able to see everything because they closed the place even though I probably spent 3 hours there as well. After that I went to the Marine Bay Mall where they had a big food market, think they call it Hawker stall. Here I had so many things I could try but went with one of the things I had on my list. hainan Chicken.

This was all in one day. I think I tried to compensate for the inactivity in boracay. Anyways I was so exhausted after that day.
The day after I decided to have an even more typical Singaporian breakfast Kaya Toast and softboiled egg. Which was created when it was colonized by UK. So I went downtown to raflles place. This is there all the big finance companies are and some rally nice streets as well.

After that I decided to go to Little India, which was pretty cool but not as good as China town. China town actually had some places that you should see or walk through. But little India was a block with a lot of Indians and typical buildings that they have. It was not as much to see to say. So I walked around a little bit before finding a good Indian restaurant. Unfortunatly the good ones that I had looked up was closed for some reason so I looked around for too long ... probably one hour before finding and deciding for a place.
Aftar that great meal I decided to go to Raffles hotel which is a really old British hotel that is really famous. There is the drink Singapore Sling also invented, so I went there and admired the hotel and went to the bar and had a Singapore sling, which turned out to be the most expensive drink I have ever bought. Payed around 30 euros for it. But it was good :D After that I had planned to go to the casino in the Marina Bay Sands hotel to play some blackjack. I played for 100SGD and left with 400 10 minutes later. I had sat a limit that If I tripled my money I would just leave. So I just played the slot machines a little bit and had free drinks before going back home to the hotel :)
The day after I went to a different area and went to a Michilin Dim Sum restaurant and had some awesomely good backed pork buns. This place was truly really good. Then i walked around an old neighbourhood that is called Emerald Hill. Really nice neighbourhood. Then I just sat down and some jurnalist students approached my and wanted an interview and to take some pictures :)
I went back to Chinatown that night to see if I could find some souvenirs and also to try the Durian fruit ... the most smelly fruit there is. I had started to feel a little bit sick at this point. Think it was a cold or something like that. Anyhow I like to try different food so I did try the fruit but I couldn't manage to finish it. It was not super bad but I was feeling a little bit ill at that point.
The day after that was the last day. I just chilled and wanted to try out some food close buy. I ended up eating way too much and then I meet up with a friend in Singapore that also was an exchange student at SKKU. He showed me around and showed me his familys home. We went out for dinner and a beer and then he drove me to the airport. I had a flight at 12 in the night too beijing where I was suppose to wait 8 hours in orde to catch a plane to Frankfurt and then 3 hours in Frankfurt checking out the bagage and then checking it in again and then going to Sweden. I was not able to sleep at all during this flights. But finally i arrived in Sweden, and it was a strange feeling. Experience so much during the last 5 month made it strange to return to Sweden. But I had made sure I would keep in contact with Korea as I had applied to be a buddy for 5 Korean students that were going to Study in Sweden the following semester.
That was it.
The End.
